Automotive Use:

Degreaser:

Use 1 part "Savona" to 5 parts water (ratio: 1 to 5)

 

For cleaning dirty, oily engines, use above recommended ratio of "Savona" to water. Spray to cover engine, then let sit 10 minutes. Rinse with high pressure water or hose. Same procedure can also be used for truck wheels (non-aluminum), and dirty undercarriages.

 

Car or Truck Wash:

Use 1 part "Savona" to 20 parts water (ratio: 1 to 20 – up to 50 parts water) Use the above "Savona" solution (1 to 20) for cleaning cars and truck cabs. This provides an excellent shampoo that rinses streak and spot free.

 

Hand Cleaner:

Use  "Savona" undiluted. Use "Savona" full strength. It is exceptional as a hand cleaner for mechanics and for any persons whose hands get extremely dirty or stained. "Savona" leaves the skin clean and soft. It is biodegradable and completely people safe and earth friendly.

 

Concrete Wash:

Use "Savona" undiluted. Use "Savona" full strength on driveways or concrete areas with greasy, oily spills. Agitate with wet scrub brush or broom. Let sit for 10 minutes. Wash down with water.

Marine Industry

Bilge Cleaner:

Ships:

Use 8 gallons of "Savona" for 70 gallons of oil in ships bilge

Add "Savona" using above ratios to ship’s bilge. Agitate with 80 to 100 gallons of fresh or salt water. If at sea, the roll of the ship will agitate the solution sufficiently. If in harbor, mix it up with high

pressure water until the oil goes into solution. When the cleaner has completely absorbed the oil, the mixture should look milky, and can then be disposed of using proper disposal methods.

 

Tanker Holds:

Use 1 gallon of "Savona" to 10 gallons of water (ratio: 1 to 10)

For the removal of crude oil and other petroleum products from the holds of tankers, "Savona" should be sprayed into the holds by low volume, high pressure pumps through the use of revolving spinnerheads which can be lowered into the hold. The process of spraying should commence as soon as possible after the ship is empty, so as to prevent the formation of volatile gases from the remaining crude oil or petroleum residue. Continue pumping "Savona" until the entire surface has been covered. The solution should be allowed to set for about one hour, after which the Butterworth system should be used for 30 to 45 minutes. It is important to note that the "Savona" solution can be left on the interior of the holds for periods of time longer than one hour with no problems. The initial hour is simply recommended to give it time to break down the crude oil, and longer periods will not decrease its efficiency, since complete evaporation will not occur. Accordingly, the results will be the same if Butterworthing is delayed 24 hours, as if it were done in sequence. After this procedure has been completed, the hold should be clean and gas free. If any gases do remain, however, spray the interior of the hold with a mixture of 1 part "Savona" to 20 parts water to help eliminate any remaining gases.

 

Marine Cleaner:

Heavy Cleaning (greasy areas)

Use 1 part "Savona" to 5 parts water (ratio: 1 to 5)

Use for cleaning oily decks, fuel tanks, reefers, & engine rooms or any areas requiring heavy duty cleaning. Effective in salt or fresh water.

 

General Cleaning:

Use 1 part "Savona" to 20 parts water (ratio: 1 to 20)

General purpose cleaner for hull, food service areas, lines, rigging, etc..

 

 

Restaurant Industry

Hood Cleaner:

Use 1 quart "Savona" to 1 gallon water. (ratio: 1 to 4)

For ventilators over food preparation areas, such as Gaylord, Ventroguard and others, "Savona" will perform a superior job of cleaning and will also reduce the potential of fire and prevent the clogging and scaling of tubes, valves and pumps within the hood itself.

Stir mixture thoroughly and pour into detergent tank. Be sure to place suction tube back into the tank after filling. This mixture will degrease the accumulation on the interior surfaces, which will be washed away during the wash cycle.

 

Fry Vats:

Use 1 quart to approximately 5 gallons of water (ratio: 1 to 20) – 40 pound capacity vat, - Drain oil from vat. Add water to vat and fill to slightly above normal oil level. Add 1 quart of "Savona" to water and bring to a slow rolling boil. Allow to boil for 15 minutes. Inspect vat for areas where carbon deposits may still be adhering. Rub these areas lightly with grill pad to dislodge. Drain and rinse with water.

 

Grills:

Use "Savona" undiluted (several ounces).

Cool grill to 200 F. Scrape off excess grease. Pour a few ounces "Savona" in erratic pattern over grill. With scraper, distribute product more evenly over the surface and add approx. 1 pint of water as this is done. Scrub and wash down with water and wipe off with towel.

 

Filter Cleaning:

Use "Savona" undiluted (several ounces).

Remove filters and place in sink. Pour a few ounces of "Savona" onto filter in random pattern. Fill sink with hot water to cover filters and allow to soak 5 -10 minutes. Lift with hook and lightly brush both sides with bristle brush and replace in hot solution. Soak 5 -10 more minutes. Lift with hook and rinse both sides with hot water, then stand on end and allow to drain.

 

Drain Cleaner:

Use 1 quart "Savona" to 5 gallons of hot water. (ratio: 1 to 20)

Pour into floor drains in the kitchen, including the ventilator drain.

"Savona" will be effective gradually. Perform above procedure every night for 1 week, then twice a week thereafter. This will help prevent the accumulation of grease in the drain lines and also reduce odor.

 

Floors, Counters, General Purpose:

Use "Savona" at 1 part "Savona" to 20 parts water (ratio: 1 to 20)

 

Remediation

Soil Remediation:

"Savona" has been shown to significantly reduce harmful chemicals in contaminated soils. When injected into the soil (in-situ process), our product breaks up and traps sub-micron size hydrocarbon groups. These are then exposed to further degradation processes once within the active colloid. The reaction products are environmentally safe and inert, including nitrates, oxygen, carbon dioxide and water. Tests have shown "Savona" to significantly reduce harmful chemicals in the soil in as little as 30 days, significantly reducing the time normally needed to clean up contaminated sites.

 

Oil Spill on Water:

Use 1 part "Savona"  to 40 parts water

For an oil spill on water, spray a 1:40 dilution of "Savona" onto the oil at a pressure rating of 150 PSI. "Savona" will disperse and particulate the oil so that it will biodegrade naturally.

 

HOW "SAVONA" WORKS ON OIL

"Savona"  is a colloidal suspension agent that effectively disperses and ingests various types of oils. It has the ability to penetrate most oils, break down their molecular structure and encapsulate them within the colloid, thus destroying the chemical ionic bond within the oils. Due to this reaction, the oil loses its ability to recombine or to redeposit upon a surface and becomes water soluble. When this reaction takes place, the colloid will disperse the soluble oil solution throughout the water available to it. Once the dispersion process has begun, "Savona" will then start to biodegrade the entire emulsion. Sunlight, bacteria

and other natural plants and animals continue to aid the biodegradation of the emulsion into base elements that are non-toxic, and result in what we believe are dissolved oxygen and nitrates in approximately 14-30 days.

If you can figure out how much UPS would charge to ship per pail you will be able to determine how much money in freight you would be saving, probably around $150.00 - 200.00 in freight.
